10-yard dumpster (approx. 12′ L x 8′ W x 3.5′ H)

Best for: small bathroom or closet remodels, garage or attic cleanouts, a single large piece of furniture plus miscellaneous junk, or a small deck teardown. Fits easily in a standard driveway without blocking a second car. This is the size most homeowners underestimate needing — if your project involves more than one room, size up.

20-yard dumpster (approx. 22′ L x 8′ W x 4.5′ H)

Our most-rented size. Handles a full kitchen or bathroom gut, a roofing tear-off on an average-size home, flooring removal across several rooms, or a medium estate cleanout. If you’re not sure between 10 and 20, we generally recommend sizing up — the price difference is smaller than the cost of renting twice.

30-yard dumpster (approx. 22′ L x 8′ W x 6′ H)

Suited to whole-home cleanouts, large additions, sizable deck or shed demolition, and multi-room renovations happening at once. Needs more driveway or curb space — worth confirming placement before delivery, especially on narrower lots common in older Indianapolis neighborhoods like Irvington or Broad Ripple.

40-yard dumpster (approx. 22′ L x 8′ W x 8′ H)

Reserved for major demolition, new home construction debris, and large commercial cleanouts. Overkill for most residential projects — if a contractor recommends a 40-yard for a single-room job, get a second opinion.
